"All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up" - Pablo Picasso

Art has always been a driving passion of mine. Back before electronic gizmos ruled the world, I was creating my own playground with pencil in hand. However, life had it's own plans for me - I've been an IT guy, worked in a shop, and lot's of other things. But it wasn't until I returned to my original vocation that I found true fulfillment.

"Art and science have their meeting point in method" - Edward G. Bulwer-Lytton

My work focuses almost exclusively on the environment around me. I have a particular passion for mountains, rugged foothills and other terrain with a certain raw aesthetic. I aim to express a landscapes essence. In order to capture this richness, I work on a small number of paintings concurrently. Each multi-layered rendering shares some details with the other works in the series, enriching each individual expression and deepening the cohesion within the series, until the larger body of work coalesces to express its deepest essence.
