Tony Charles gained a BA(Hons) from Teesside University and an MA from Northumbria University at Newcastle. He practises in the North East of England where influences of an industrial backdrop continue to feature within his work.
Employing industrial elements within his aesthetic, he explores art historical traditions and investigates 2 and 3-dimensional notions. His drawings and sculptural installations are often underpinned by his interest in the current post-industrial era.
